Place Vend?me is an upcoming QR5 billion mixed-use development underway in Qatar’s emerging Lusail City. Place Vend?me is a project by United Developers, a group of four Qatari investors who partnered to align their expertise in retail, real estate, construction and contracting. United Developers envision Place Vend?me as a groundbreaking example of the entrepreneurship, vision and energy that is central to Qatar’s commitment to the nation’s development.
The project began on March 17th, 2014 and is due to open in 2019. The 800,000m2 development will host two five-star luxury hotels, serviced apartments, a mall featuring up to 400 different retail outlets with a luxurious wing dedicated to top designer labels, and a central entertainment component which will showcase constant attractions.
The Parisian-inspired development will be reminiscent of the famous high-end shopping street in Paris, Rue de la Paix. The architecture is intended to radiate luxury and extravagance whilst capturing Qatari culture. Place Vend?me will feature a canal running through it directly from the sea, creating an open plaza experience with cafes and restaurants overlooking the water.
Strategically placed at the heart of Lusail, Place Vend?me aims to be the new centre of attraction for everyone who seeks a unique shopping experience and entertainment, all in one place. Rising in parallel with the infrastructure in Lusail City, it will be served by new roads, public transportation, parks and marinas.
